Swifto, is a site where users submit tasks that they need to be completed along with the price they are willing to pay for completion. You can ask for just about ANYTHING you need help with. Sounds great! How can I make money with Swifto?
Not only does Swifto provide help to people in need, it also offers a way to make money. If you sign up to be a “helper” you have the opportunity to make some extra cash by helping people complete their tasks. It is a great way for freelancers to expand their horizon outside of the computer desk. In fact, if you sign up to be a helper, there is an option to receive a notification on your mobile device or facebook account each time someone near you needs your help.
Like I mentioned earlier, Swifto is still currently in beta testing, but the option to make money is still open to anyone in the New York area. With enough support, Swifto plans to expand to help people nation-wide in the very near future. The Swifto team is currently searching for “super users” who will be completely dedicated to the Swifto system. Super users will receive special bonuses for their hard work and dedication.
In my opinion, Swifto is an extremely unique website and has great potential. If this sounds interesting to you, please support them by spreading the Swifto word, and also following them on twitter- click here to follow! Also, support them by liking their facebook page. Bring swifto to your neighborhood!

Well, i just got finished working 3 days graveyard doing grocery shelve stocking (my normal job, different store). I can honestly say working graveyard MESSES up your body beyond belief. I asked my manager for more hours and he suggested the graveyard shift out at a different store. I did. My first night I found that by about 2:30 A.M. my legs were shaking and I had one of the worst migraines i have ever experienced. As I kept pounding back energy drinks to keep myself from crashing, everything kept getting worse and worse. It is a really strange feeling…Like you are dreaming but your body is still moving- I am not totally sure how to explain it. Needless to say I worked here for 3 nights before switching back to my old store and old hours. After I came home on night #1, I found myself extremely depressed coming home to see everyone just getting ready for the day and waking up. Not to mention I was extremely nauseous and my eyes were burning.
I told myself “what the hell have I gotten myself into?!”
I decided to stick with it.
Night 2 was just about the EXACT same thing as night one. Coming home after that shift I decided it DEFINITELY wasn’t for me and wanted to go back to my old hours at the other store (5AM- 1:30pm), it was no big deal to switch back and I am glad I did.
By night 2, I realized that I would be sleeping until it was about time to go back to work, therefor not seeing people, friends, or family very much anymore. Which lead to depression along with physical pain.
Night 3, yes there was one more night that I felt inclined to complete. I am actually writing this only 30 minutes after getting off work. As I was walking to my car my legs gave out from under me and i dropped to one knee. I kind of smiled surprisingly as it was an assurance that I had made the right choice for my well-being.
Sure, this post isn’t about how to make money. This is one thing I actually strongly recommend against doing to make an extra buck. At the beginning i told myself, ”oh it won’t be so bad, everyone else will be asleep anyways.”
Now I am saying “quitting graveyard was one of the best decisions I have made so far.”
As a 19 year old with a minimum wage job, I always try to find new ways to make money. It’s really exciting to me and i consider it a hobby of mine.
For most of my childhood (from ages 12-17), I learned how to buy and resell sports cards using the internet. Doing this for many years, I learned valuable skills like; how to negotiate, how to find good deals, and how to value different items. Flipping sports cards helped me fund my collection when I was younger and recently allowed me to buy my first car ($2400).
I’m not saying flipping items is an easy thing to do, but with experience it can be a great way to make a couple hundred dollars a month if you are committed and knowledgeable to whatever item you choose to flip. My best flip was a baseball card I bought for $9.50 and sold for $168 only 1 week after I bought it, i sold the card for nearly 17 times what i originally paid for it.
“Flipping” isn’t only limited to sports cards and can really apply to anything from a postcard to a house. Recently, I also looked into domain name flipping. (selling website names) After a couple weeks of research I found that the best way to make money flipping domain names is patience. Think of the next great thing…Like the Ipad 4 FOR EXAMPLE. Although it’s not a highly desirable domain name at the moment, in time it could be the next $10,000 domain name, you just never know. For domain flipping, i recommend coming up with a unique domain name and seeing if the domain is available for purchase. Check out godaddy.com for more about buying domain names.
I also know of many people who buy and resell used cars for several hundred dollars profit. The thing with flipping cars is i believe you can only buy 6 used cars per year, so be careful on the cars you choose to flip! In the end, flipping anything takes patience and most of the time, luck- there are thousands of items out there right now just waiting to be flipped it’s just a matter of going and finding them!
